Text Box:   Frequent Asked Questions   What is Madison Yard Surprises?                                                  Madison Yard Surprises, LLC, is a full-service lawn greeting rental service that is an alternative to sending flowers or balloons to make any special occasion one the recipient  won't ever forget!  We have something for almost any occasion.  Everything except our storks  arrive during the night when the "victim" is a sleep.  When they wake up and go outside they will find their yard has been invaded with o.ur "critters" or signs and find a 4X3 foot personalized  message sign in their yard in the middle of the "critters".  In addition, they will find a package on their front door containing another personalized postcard that contains a message from the sender & their name (if they wish).  Just beware, every package comes with a discount "Revenge Coupon". We have plans to continue to add to our selection, so please keep checking back. When are your displays delivered & taken down?                                        We deliver our displays once the victim has gone to bed or before they get up in the morning.  So it helps if you know their schedule.  We make sure their display is set up before 6:00 AM and we will pick them up before sunset, so the "victim" can enjoy them the entire day. Birth Announcements: Our stork is set up before the parents get home, provided we are given enough notice & stay up the length of rental. Baby Shower:  Our stork will be set up before the baby shower and remain up the remaining of the night.  If the shower is at night, we can provide a spot light if needed (However you must plug it in). Can I use my own saying on the sign?                                                           Yes, however we are a Christian company and reserve the right to refuse anything we deem would be inappropriate.  If you won't  say it to your Mama, we don't want it on our signs either! Are reservations required? No, but we do recommend them to make sure the display you want is available.  We prefer a week's notice, but we can accommodate you in most cases with at least 24 hours notice to make sure that all of our "critters" are well rested and fed!  For Stork rentals, we know those babies can come at anytime, so we will work with you if we can. What payment methods do you accept?                                                  We accept Visa, MasterCard, checks & cash.  All payments MUST be made before delivery.  All returned checks will  be charged  a $50.00 return fee. How much does it cost?                                                                           We try to keep our prices less than a dozen roses, but please remember we have to come out twice (once to set up and once to pick up) and also when is the last time you got roses delivered between  10:30 PM and 6:00 AM?  Not to mention gas these days! Our yard displays are $60.00 (which includes set-up and  take-down).  If you have someone coming or going to Iraq, check out our military special.  Our stork rentals vary, so please check out our packages at it's site.   Watch around Madison County for our advertisements for special discounts. Can I keep the critters in my yard?                                                                  No, please don't keep any of our critters or signs in your yard.  They require special care and we love each and every one of them!  Can I purchase a keepsake item?                                                                         Yes, just let us know what you want and we will check our inventory.  We try to keep a few items that have never been used just for this.  Just let us know BEFORE  we come back to pick up our display. How many critters or signs are included in the display?                        Typically there are 18-20 critters or signs with every display. We do use more for our flamingo displays.  We usually have 25-30  flamingos on a display, unless they are "Over-the-Hill".  We will try to match the number of flamingos to the "victims" age. How do I place my order?                                                                          You can call us at (601) 954-1200 or email us at sales@MadisonYardSurprises.com  We take Visa, MasterCard, Cash & Check.  Please do not email your credit card number to us.  We will get that from you when we contact you.  All payments MUST be made before delivery. Where do you deliver to?                                                                           Currently we only deliver to Madison, Ridgeland, Reservoir & the Gluckstadt areas.  Outside of these areas will result in a extra delivery fee due to the travel time and gas.  Remember, we have to make two trips! One to set up and the other to pick up! Sorry, we do not deliver our yard displays to apartments, due to security for our critters and most have policies prohibiting us from doing so.   We are also not allowed to display on any city property, unless we have written approval from the city first. Do you deliver in bad weather?                                                                          Yes, we do attempt to deliver in most weather conditions.  However, we do reserve the right to cancel in dangerous weather or if the winds are going to be strong enough to blow away or damage our critters or is too dangerous for our delivery person.  If we do have to cancel we will let you know and either fully refund your money or schedule another time for a delivery.  We hope you understand that we want to keep both our drivers and critters safe. What is your cancellation policy?                                                                We will give you a full refund if: You cancel 24 hours before our delivery time (remember we may deliver as early as 10:30 PM) We have to cancel for something outside of our control, such as weather conditions. We cannot offer a refund if: You give us less than 24 hour notice of cancellation. We are given a incorrect address. If it is a gated community and we are given an  incorrect number to enter or are denied access to set up. We will try to contact the sender to check information again before leaving. The homeowner, business owner or security prevents us from setting up the display. If the homeowner, business owner or security for the property contacts us and asks that we pick up the display before the end of our rental period. Animals on the property prevent us from setting up. If there is no grassy area in front of he home or business to prevent us from setting up. Any other circumstance beyond our control in setting up one of our displays. Does someone need to be home when a display is set up?                            No, we do ask that someone in the house  (if possible) know that we will be setting up sometime during the night.  Be sure to hide the gun & ammo! Safety Issues and other policies.                                                                  For safety of everyone, please Do Not allow anyone, especially children to climb on or play with any of our signs or critters.  They are not designed for this and may result in serious injury. Our signs or critters are NOT toys and each one has a metal rod running through it to help secure it to the ground.  These steel rods can be dangerous, thus children should not be left unsupervised around them.  Please do not allow children to jump over, play leap-frog, sit or kick any of our signs or critters.  They are made of plastic & will not support their weight. We ask that you have everyone respect our signs and critters.  We try to offer high quality products for your enjoyment and want to keep our prices reasonable.  Damage to our products ill only result in high prices in the future for everyone.  If you do notice any items missing or damaged, please let us know immediately, since we will be required to contact the police and file a report.
